 In WW2 the R.C.M.P. members formed No. 1 Provost Company, 1st Canadian Infantry Division, and joined the 1st. Canadian Corps in the fight to liberate the Netherlands in 1945. The R.C.M.P. has carried the Canadian Provost Corps cypher on its Guidon as an Honourary Distinction, acknowledging its service in WW2.

Not much is known about an R.M.C.P. Pipe Band at that time, but nowadays there are several modern R.M.C.P. Pipe Bands.

Shown below is the tartan of the R.M.C.P. Pipe band of National Division, Ottawa.
