WORLD WAR 2 MEMORIAL PIPE BANDS IN THE NETHERLANDS
In the Netherlands, several World War 2 Memorial Pipe Bands have been founded, to honour the liberators of the Netherlands, with a special focus on the Scottish and Irish Regiments, with pipe bands. The number of the Memorial Pipe Bands that are specifically focussed on the Canadian regiments with pipe bands, and/or perform at memorial services and coöperate at the Holten Canadian Military Cemetery, the Groesbeek, and Bergen op Zoom Military Cemetery and other Remembrances, are marked with a "" in the list shown below here, indicating also whether they play at memorial services at the Holten Canadian Military Cemetery.
The 48th Highlanders of Holland Pipes & Drums hold a separate 48th Highlanders regimental memorial service at Holten once a year.
The Highland Regiment perform on Holten cemetery at christmas every year.
The Seaforth Highlanders of Holland perform at Holten cemetery on Remembrance day every year.
The Cape Breton Highlanders of Canada Memorial Pipes & Drums of Friesland will perform at Holten cemetery with Seaforths of Holland on Remembrance day every year.
